Cellular NAD+ level declines with aging, which associates with the vulnerability of aging neurons to disease-related insults in various neurodegenerative diseases including glaucoma. We are seeking different strategies of NAD+ augmentation, which aims to prevent NAD+ and its precursors diverting from NAD+ synthetic pathways.
