Ocular Immune Privilege and Retinal Immunobiology

Dr. Taylor is currently the Associate Dean of Research, Professor and Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Taylor received his PhD from The Ohio State University in microbiology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. J. Wayne Streilein, MD, at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Then he joined the Schepens Eye Research Institute and Department of Ophthalmology, Harvard Medical School. In 2010 he joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University. The focus of his NIH-funded research has been on how the eye naturally suppresses inflammation.
