Research Interests 研究興趣

Interdisciplinary collaborations between biomedical and engineering professionals are the keys for recent tremendous creations and advancements in biomedical technologies, which also applies to the field of ophthalmology. The members of Ocular Bioengineering Laboratory are now working closely with the clinicians to engineer novel solutions to facilitate advanced biomedical research, as well as diagnosis and treatments of eye diseases.

生物醫學和工程專業人士之間的跨學科合作是生物醫學技術近期巨大進步的關鍵。眼科生物工程實驗室的成員現在正與臨床眼科醫生密切合作,設計新穎的解決方案以促進先進的生物醫學研究以及眼睛疾病的診斷和治療。

 

The current research focuses include:

  • Eye-on-a-chip models for glaucoma-related and corneal scarring-related studies;

  • Microfluidic-based diagnostic tools for small volume sample analysis;

  • Assistive technologies that tackle the daily-living problems of visually impaired persons; and

  • Teaching innovations for medical and biomedical engineering undergraduate studies.
